Osmo Exterior UV Protection Oil - Clear Satin 410

Osmo UV Protection Oil Clear Satin 410 is a specialist UV wood oil designed to protect exterior timber from the damaging effects of sunlight and weathering. Containing UV filters, the oil helps slow down the natural greying process and can delay greying by up to 12 times compared with untreated wood.

Ideal for vertical exterior wooden surfaces, Osmo UV Protection Oil can be used on doors, windows, shutters, cladding and other upright timber. Its combination of natural vegetable oils and waxes penetrates the wood while creating a microporous, breathable finish that allows the timber to expand, contract and regulate moisture naturally.

The durable surface is highly resistant to water and dirt, helping protect exterior timber against everyday weather exposure. Unlike conventional surface coatings, the finish is designed not to crack, peel or flake, helping maintain the appearance of the wood over time.

One of the benefits of Osmo UV Protection Oil is its straightforward maintenance. When the existing coating becomes weathered, maintenance coats can be applied without the need for heavy sanding, provided the surface is suitably prepared.

For best results, apply to clean, dry, bare timber. The product should not be applied over previously varnished, painted or sealed wood, as the oil needs to penetrate into the timber.

Osmo UV Protection Oil Clear Satin 410 provides a natural clear finish with a soft satin sheen. It offers coverage of approximately 20m² per litre and requires a maximum of two coats, with approximately 12 hours drying time under suitable conditions.
